In 5 years, a fresh grad like me is leading a team of close to 100 diverse talents!
I never thought that in 5 years, a fresh grad like me would be leading a team of close to 100 diverse talents! Back then, all I had wanted was a job with a good boss, learning opportunities and good pay. When I came for my first interview here, I was surprised to meet the CEO in person. Seeing him set aside time to carefully select the talents for the company made me feel this company is different from the others. I’m glad to have made the right decision to grow here!

Rare opportunity to learn directly from the senior management of the company
Within 3 short years, I was promoted 3 times and given opportunities to start new initiatives and even a new unit for the company, all the while heading teams and grooming young talents and advisors. Back then as a fresh grad, I was looking for income and prestige in my job, but in the first interview here, the CEO met me and changed my understanding – that I needed to focus on my personal growth first. finexis offered a rare opportunity to learn directly from the senior management of the company, and I’m glad I joined because it has been a tremendous growth journey ever since. This company is truly the place for grooming and growing people, not just for me but for every person I’ve met here.

3 roles in 3 fruitful years in finexis. What more can I say? Without the mentorship I received in finexis, I would not have experienced this much personal growth. The leaders’ commitment in growing people has shown me they don’t just talk the talk but walk the talk. The different opportunities I was given allowed me to constantly challenge the status quo and develop my strengths. If there’s one piece of advice I can give to new people here, it would be to be careful of what you ask for, because you may really get it here.

Within 5 years of joining finexis, I surpassed my peers who remained in the banking sector, and experienced different markets such as the High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra HNW market. Here I am given the opportunity to grow as fast as I want to, and not limited to the usual bank promotion structure where promotion happens every 2 years. The leaders here focus on giving and growing people, not just the staff but the clients too. They live out their values of impacting lives with all their hearts.

Being promoted 2 levels in 4 years wasn’t something I could have imagined, yet it happened for me.
Being promoted 2 levels in 4 years wasn’t something I could have imagined, yet it happened for me. My leaders are serious about building up leaders and told me “I would be happy if you take my position.” Through their tremendous passion and commitment to grow their people, my job knowledge was expanded in many different areas including public speaking and leading a team. The journey was tough and challenging, but it was worth every effort and time I put in.

Their growth is my growth, and their success is my success.
Through the years in finexis, I’ve been exposed to many different roles and departments while working with different directors in the company. I was given opportunities to be part of many new projects and initiatives, and I’m glad to have played my part in the success story of finexis. I don’t believe in just performing my role and job duties, but in helping my friends and partners here perform to the best of their abilities. Their growth is my growth, and their success is my success.

A company where I would wake up and enjoy what I do
I wanted to join a company where I would wake up and enjoy what I do, where I’m able to add value to myself and contribute to the company at the same time, and finexis has shown me that this is the place I’m looking for. Despite coming from diverse backgrounds and different industries, we were given opportunities to contribute in our own way, which has given me a sense of fulfillment. It has thus far been a fruitful journey for me and my career.

I did a mid career switch from advertising and marketing as I wanted to do something different. I was attracted by the culture and strong leadership and I believed that this firm is able to help me grow as a person. One of the things the leaders said to me that I'll always remember is that they are not worried whether I'll be successful in this career, but who I'll become when I am successful. Having just crossed my 4-year mark in the firm, I am very blessed to have been given so many learning opportunities, and I really owe it to my leaders who painstakingly trained me and gave me the emotional support I needed. This is not an easy path, but definitely a very rewarding one if you are hungry to grow.

Working in finexis has been a fruitful and inspirational journey filled with learning experiences. In this positive community of people filled with can-do spirit, I’m surrounded by leaders and colleagues who share their knowledge and experience with me, and constantly motivate me to do better each day. I am thankful for the opportunities my “shifu” has given me to lead a team and to grow and develop myself personally and professionally.

7 years ago I started out as an executive in the finance department, and within my first year I received a promotion, which was beyond my expectations! My leaders have given me many opportunities and exposure to groom me to take on leadership positions. The journey is challenging and stretching, but I always felt supported and protected by my leaders. Their dedication to grow the people here and help us build our careers is truly inspiring. If you have the heart to grow, finexis is definitely a great place for you to unleash your potential!

Someone once told me that I’ll never make it in life without a degree, but finexis has shown me things in a different light – anything is possible if you're ready to be moulded for GROWTH. The leaders here have done exactly that for me, spending and investing priceless hours of hard work and heart work to grow me and show me that ‘impossible’ means ‘I M possible’. My 4-year journey of growth has never been a bed of roses, but it’s all worthwhile as I've grown at a faster pace than my peers. Now that I’m entrusted to lead people, I look forward to model after my leaders and help people GROW!
